While not many kiwis would recommend a visit during New Zealand’s four-seasons-in-one-day Spring, last week EMC were delighted to host Matthias Altendorf, Chief Executive Officer of the Endress+Hauser Group and Rolf Leber, Head of the Asia Pacific Support Centre, based out of Endress+Hauser Vietnam.
The visit helped strengthen the already robust partnership between the two organisations.
What made the visit extra special was that this was Mr Altendorf’s very last official global visit as CEO, because from 1 January 2024 he takes up the role as chairman of the Endress+Hauser Supervisory Board.
Chris Gailer, CEO of EMC Industrial Group says the visit helped further strengthen ties and the already robust partnership between the two organisations, as well as cementing a positive and bright future.
“It was a pleasure to host Herr Altendorf and Herr Leber. It once again reinforces the strong bond we have, not only between our two family-owned companies, but also for all our people.
“EMC has had a longstanding affinity with Endress+Hauser as we not only stand by the exceptional quality and range of their instrumentation, but share core values and place mutual importance on growth and innovation.
“We have taken away many valuable insights from their visit, as well as a look into the future, which we will now apply to our business where possible.”
Highlights of the trip included site visits, including to the Tip Top Ice Cream factory, strategy and planning sessions, and an all-staff presentation.
“Down in New Zealand we can feel a bit isolated and removed from our suppliers but visits like this, especially from industry leaders, help strengthen and confirm our place within the Endress+Hauser community,” says Chris.
Currently, Endress+Hauser instruments account for 70 per cent of EMC’s total sales.
EMC and Endress+Hauser will celebrate their 50-year partnership in July 2024.
