EMC E+H 50

July 2024 marked a significant milestone in the history of EMC and Endress+Hauser – a 50-year partnership that has withstood the test of time and geography. As EMC is both the longest-standing and furthest away representative of Endress+Hauser, this anniversary is not just a celebration of longevity but also of mutual success and shared values.

A Partnership Rooted in History

The relationship between EMC and Endress+Hauser began in the early days of Endress+Hauser’s expansion into New Zealand, a market that was championed by one of George Endress’s earliest partners, Henry Arns. Henry, who was the third employee of Endress+Hauser (a now 16,000-strong company), played a pivotal role in introducing Endress+Hauser products to New Zealand. His passion for the region and his dedication to the business laid the foundation for what would become a half-century-long collaboration.

It was Henry Arns who recommended EMC to represent E+H in New Zealand, a decision that proved to be instrumental in shaping the future of both companies. This connection was further strengthened when Chris Gailer, son of EMC’s founder and now CEO, spent time at Endress+Hauser in Germany, gaining valuable experience and forging personal ties that would deepen the bond between the two companies.

Shared Values and Vision

The success of the EMC-Endress+Hauser partnership is a testament to the early alignment between the two companies’ visions and values. Over the years, both EMC and Endress+Hauser have remained committed to providing exceptional service and technical expertise to their customers. This shared commitment has been the cornerstone of their long-term success.

Reflecting on the significance of this partnership, Chris Gailer, CEO of EMC, remarked, “Our 50-year partnership with Endress+Hauser has been mutually beneficial, not only because of our shared commitment to excellence but also because of the trust and respect that have been built over the years. Together, we have created a strong foundation that has allowed both of our companies to thrive, and I am confident that this partnership will continue to go from strength to strength in the years to come.”

The success of this partnership is no accident. It is the result of years of hard work, dedication, and a shared vision for the future. The strength of this relationship has positioned both EMC and Endress+Hauser to continue building on their successes and expanding their presence in the marketplace.

Endress+Hauser Head of Global Sales, Laurent Mulley, says throughout the decades, EMC has become known across the Endress+Hauser network as a team of highly competent professionals.

“The experts at EMC have a deep technical understanding of Endress+Hauser products and a strong ability to apply this knowledge to meet customers’ needs. This level of expertise, combined with a dedication to customer service, has made EMC a key player in the New Zealand market. It’s a key reason for our long-term success and the foundation for the years to come.”
